Time Travel

The publication of “The Time Machine” by H.G Wells in 1895, created a big sensation in the European scientific community. Some leading scientists of that period opined that going back to the days of yesterday was not possible. The gentlemen community of the U.K and the British Royalty did not like the description of a socialist system the scientist landed in. It must have brought joy in the under classes and destitute in London. We are sure that the Royals and the UK parliament did not try to suppress sales of this book. A lesson now forgotten in certain countries and the authors and publishers of such books are under the threat of lawsuits in the name of National Security, if they go against the president's wish. Any news in the social media judged by the authoritative president could lower his approval poll numbers that become a National Security risk.
A movie made in 1960 based on this story – “The Time Travel” was hugely successful. And “Back to the Future” in 1895, made a sensation and the possibilities of time travel was hotly debated everywhere specially in the college campuses. Those who viewed the Time in the light of Newton Clockwork precision of the mechanistic world were against the possibilities of time travel and those who understood Einstein's theory of relativity and the nascent world of Quantum mechanics and quantum physics said why not.
Points Against:
The First Hurdle:
The sunlight takes 8 minutes and 20 seconds to reach the Earth according to our clock. According to the clock of Photons (sunlight) the time taken is Zero. Photons having no mass can move as soon as they are created and can appear at that moment anywhere in our planet and also anywhere in the Universe. Just consider, the latest galaxy the Hubble Space Telescope just discovered from the edge of the universe, which took 18.5 billion years to reach the lens of the telescope according to our clock, but it was instantaneous for the photons.
So, if we can find those photons of 1776, we will be able to see the signing of the Declaration of Independence document in Philadelphia.
The Second Hurdle:
The time flows only one way forward in our world. We live in the present, however short that maybe, the past is gone forever, and the future is yet to arrive.
This is not at all, if one understands Einstein's Box Universe Theory. Time is the 4th dimension of the space-time matrix. The present, past and future are all in that 4th dimension. Going one to the other is only one step to bridge. Yes, the future has already been recorded there. So, time travel is no sweat at all. But one has to be an atom or sub-atom particle. A bulky - lumpy human will be turned away, a sign says - no entry.
The Third Hurdle:
To lift a Saturn Rocket in space with a few scientific equipment, takes a huge quantity of fuel. Think a couple, John and Janie are going to attend John's great- grandparents 200th wedding anniversary. They are taking their luggage and an automobile - how much energy the rocket will require in lifting that rocket. Our earth does not have that kind of usable energy reserve.
Science must come up with some form of a Particle Transporter which was made popular in science fiction movies and TV series. Scientists agree that Quantum Teleportation is real but applies only to individual particles, not the disassemble-and-reassemble spectacles seen on TV screens.
The Fourth Hurdle:
Where humans go after the body dies. Newtonian physics says all atoms stay within this Earth and nothing escapes. Atoms are recycled in plants and animals. Quantum physics says because of Energy Conversation Law, the soul (a Spake of energy) merges with the Universal Electromagnetic field and the local pattern of Electromagnetic field (scientific definition of soul) cannot be seen as a separate identity.
Points in Favor:
After pondering over all possible modes of travel, John still does not have his great grandfather's present location of habitation. He is almost sure it is in heaven, but the GPS search for heaven's co-ordinates turned blank.
One of his friends told him about a former professor in Physics at Harvard University, Dr. Michael Guillen has said in 2026, the heaven is located in the Cosmic Horizon, just beyond the edge of this expanding universe, some 273 billion trillion miles from Earth. Here time stops and an ideal location for heaven. He arrived at this number based on Biblical description and modern cosmology.
John chose Einstein's Box Universe theory for this journey. He has to take only one step into the Past of the 4th dimension. It will be quick and free of any hazards. He is also pondering whether he should take his unborn son with them. In that case, he will step in the Future of the 4th dimension first, collect his unborn son and then begin his journey along with Janie.
He knows that he is not an atom or sub-atom and may be turned away at the gate. An attorney warned him that after coming back from this trip, he might be picked up as an illegal or extraterrestrial alien by the border security forces. He wants to try and is determined not to abandon this project without making a good attempt.
The Scientific Community is waiting anxiously for John's return.
